There are many things to do and visit in the area .Close by is the small town of Pontrieux with its little shops ,supermarket ,bars , restaurants and Artists Studios .On Monday s there is a small market. Throughout the Spring and Summer there are often Fetes and "Brocantes" for those who wish to search for a bargain .
Just the other side of Pontrieux is the famous Chateau de la Roche-Jagu with its beautiful landscaped grounds ,the historical Chateau , walks and restaurant. There are many different flowers and plants , a walk around the gardens is a good way of building up an appetite.
10 - 15 minutes away is the Port of Paimpol with its old fashioned little streets and interesting harbour full of boats. There are tourist shops , bars and many restaurants. Through out Summer there is often traditional Breton fetes .There is also a Steam train that runs between Paimpol and Pontrieux passing along the scenic river Trieux.
There are beaches and coastal path walks within easy distance (15-20 mins) Also within 15 minutes drive there is the very scenic golf course at the Chateau de Bois Gelin. Although it is a 9 hole course for your daily fee of 30 euros. You can go around as many times as you like .It has a restaurant and bar and makes for a really nice day out .
Not far away is the town of Guingamp which has plenty of shops .Friday is Market day and there you can find many traditional foods and local produce. Guingamp boasts it own First Division Football team which often play host to some big name clubs.
Slightly further a field are the Medieval towns of Treguier and Lannion each with many interesting Architectural buildings . Treguier hosts the famous pilgrimage for Saint Yves at the Cathedral each year in May.
You can also visit the "Vallee des Saints' which is called " a project for eternity " ! It is a very impressive display of huge 4 to 5 meters high granite sculptures of Breton saints on the site of a prehistoric encampment .At present there are over fifty statues, the aim of the project is to install one thousand.
